Last week, Liberty Girls Tennis competed in the OHSAA Sectional Tournament, hosted by Gahanna Lincoln.

On Saturday, 10/3, Ella Bright won her fifth consecutive match to earn the title of Sectional Champion! Bright took down Sanaa Lisath of St. Francis DeSales (1-6, 7-6, 6-2) to claim the sectional title and earn a top seed at next week's District Tournament.

Bright avenged fellow Lady Patriot, Sophia Ferritto, who fell to Lisath in the semifinals. Ferritto rebounded to take down Maya Olmos of Westerville Central (6-1, 6-2) to take 3rd place and improve her seeding in Districts.

On the doubles side, the duo of Camille Ferritto and Aanya Singireddy took 4th place in Sectionals as they also qualified for this week's District Tournament.

Day One of the OHSAA Central District tournament will kick off on Wednesday, October 7th at Upper Arlington High School. Tickets can be purchased at Click Here.
